Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has weighed in on ongoing conversations about marital struggles, stressing that the success of a marriage should not be judged merely by how long a couple has stayed together.

In a reflective post shared on social media, the actress noted that marriage is more about grace, intentionality, and mutual respect than the number of years invested. According to her, even after decades together, some men may still fall short of expectations by choosing infidelity or taking a second wife.

“Marriage isn’t about length or years, it’s about grace… even after 50 years, some men can still show that Solomon trait in them,” she wrote. “At this point, one can only pray, may God bless every good and intentional man who keeps his vows pure.”

Omoborty further advised women not to sacrifice their inner peace on the altar of societal expectations. She cautioned against enduring toxic unions simply to preserve appearances or avoid public scrutiny. “Never remain where peace is lost just because of what people will say,” she urged. “Let them talk; your peace is your true wealth.”

While acknowledging the challenges many women face in marriage, the actress also expressed optimism that there are still “good and intentional men” who honor their vows and remain committed to their partners.

Her comments come amid a wave of online discussions sparked by recent events in celebrity and social circles, where issues of infidelity and marital breakdown have dominated conversations. By calling for women to place greater value on their well-being, Omoborty’s message adds to the growing chorus of voices urging a shift away from traditional expectations toward healthier perspectives on relationships.
