Unveiled in Lagos at the weekend, the Vision AI TV is designed to serve as a hub for smart living, interactive content, and home integration, while safeguarding user data through Samsung’s trusted Knox security system. The launch reinforces Samsung’s dominance in the global TV market, where it has held the No. 1 position for 19 consecutive years.
Tae Sun Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics West Africa, said the device reflects the company’s vision for the future of home technology. “With Vision AI, we’re not just offering a TV; we’re introducing a smarter, more connected way to live, building on almost two decades of global leadership,” he noted.
The Vision AI TV introduces a suite of intelligent capabilities. Viewers can instantly search for information related to what is on screen, enjoy seamless control of connected devices through SmartThings, and benefit from seven years of operating system updates to ensure long-term relevance. The device also integrates entertainment with lifestyle features, such as enhanced gaming, real-time translations, and access to digital art.
According to Oge Maduagwu, Head of Marketing & Communications at Samsung Electronics West Africa, the new TVs are “intelligent lifestyle hubs” that leverage Vision AI to deliver personalized and contextual experiences. “We’re combining television, AI art, live translations, and sleek designs to set our TVs miles ahead of others,” she said.
Ajay David, Head of Consumer Electronics at Samsung West Africa, emphasized that the 2025 lineup is Samsung’s most advanced yet. It includes innovations across OLED, Neo QLED, QLED, and lifestyle models. New features range from glare-free OLED displays and improved anti-glare Neo QLED screens to brightness boosts of up to 30 percent and refresh rates as high as 240Hz for ultra-smooth motion.
David also revealed premium additions such as Neo QLED Mini-LED with wireless One Connect and Nigeria’s first 100-inch Neo QLED. He added that Vision AI now enhances picture and sound quality while integrating smart home functionalities like pet monitoring and family care alerts.
“From breathtaking picture quality to intelligent home integration, 2025 Samsung TVs are designed to deliver unmatched clarity, style, and connectivity,” David said, underscoring Samsung’s commitment to shaping the future of television and enriching households worldwide.
With nearly two decades of global leadership, Samsung continues to strengthen consumer trust by delivering products that combine cutting-edge innovation with long-lasting value.
