The 37-year-old Naomi, whose real name is Trinity Fatu, shared the news during an appearance on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, where she revealed that the pregnancy came as a surprise given her past fertility struggles.
“I’m pregnant and I’m having a baby,” Naomi said with excitement. “Big Jim did his big one,” she added, referring playfully to her husband, whose real name is Jonathan Fatu.
The wrestler explained that she discovered the pregnancy while traveling on the road. “In my hotel, I had been feeling a little different, a little weird. Just wanted to take a test to find out, to make sure, kind of rule that out,” she recalled. “Not thinking, because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. I just really didn’t think it was possible.”
Naomi has previously been candid about her health challenges. She underwent surgery to remove her right ovary and, in 2020, had another operation to remove fibroids from her uterus — procedures that had left her uncertain about the possibility of conceiving.
The announcement comes shortly after Naomi was pulled from a scheduled WWE title defense against Iyo Sky on August 11, with the match canceled the day of due to her not being medically cleared. The reason is now joyfully clear.
Naomi and Jimmy Uso, both celebrated WWE performers, have been together for over a decade and tied the knot in 2014. The couple’s announcement has been met with warm congratulations from fans and fellow wrestlers alike, many celebrating their journey toward parenthood after years of perseverance.
