The stage is set, the lights are bright, and Africa’s most electrifying talent competition, De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH), is back for its fourth season, promising a spectacular display of creativity, diversity, and raw African talent. Following a groundbreaking campus tour across Nigerian universities, DTH Season 4 is poised to captivate audiences with 22 exceptional contestants vying for a life-changing ₦30 million grand prize, alongside other rewards that elevate this season to new heights.

This year’s competition, running from September 7 to November 9, 2025, showcases a vibrant array of performers, from soulful singers and poetic spoken word artists to dynamic dancers, comedians, a contortionist, and a magician. The diversity of talent reflects DTH’s mission to unearth and celebrate the continent’s creative spirit, bringing African artistry to a global audience.

A New Era for Talent Discovery

Unlike previous seasons, DTH Season 4 broke barriers by eliminating registration fees, making participation more accessible. From July 9 to July 18, 2025, the show’s first-ever Campus Tour visited the University of Port Harcourt, University of Benin, University of Abuja, University of Lagos, and IMT Enugu. Aspiring talents were invited to post one-minute performance videos on social media, tagging DTH, with the best invited to perform live on their campuses. This innovative approach resulted in the selection of 22 standout contestants, each bringing a unique flair to the competition.

Meet the Contestants

The Season 4 lineup is a testament to Africa’s rich talent pool. Gospel sensation Chris Vic will compete alongside vocal powerhouses like Glory Henry, T-Jay (Tuoyo John), BigSøma (Anih Favour Nmeasoma), Blessed Ikpi (Ekubi Blessed Ikpi), Paskal (Chukwu Paschal Ebube), Lexi (Favour Aguiyi), and Hailwin (Helen Godwin). The spoken word stage will come alive with The Global Poet (Deborah Johnson), Isime Precious (Aigbogun Precious Isimeme), Neji Irregular (John Momnang Neji), and Loveth Liberty, each ready to weave stories with their words.

Comedy fans can look forward to gut-busting performances from Da Messenger (Emmanuel God’srich Chinaza) and MC Olaks (Olarotimi Victor), while Phoenix the Magician (Edidiong Sunday Ibitt) promises to leave audiences spellbound. The dance category is stacked with high-energy crews like Kidsteppers, Team Unbeatables, The Elite Kings Dance Crew International, KSS Dance Crew, and Cloud 9 Dancers. Adding unique flair are contortionist Body Engine (Fidel Walter) and saxophonist Jeremiah Fjsax (Jeremiah Oluwajenyo), ensuring a competition that defies expectations.

A Legacy of Stardom

Since its inception, DTH has been a launchpad for African talent. Season 1 crowned singer Konstance (Constance Olatunde), who won ₦10 million and made waves in Afrobeats and R&B. Season 2 saw gospel artist Ugee Royalty (Esther Ugochi Kalu) claim ₦7 million and an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai and Kenya. Season 3 elevated Exoduz Dance Crew to continental fame with a ₦10 million prize, a car, and trips to Kenya and the Maldives, while 6-year-old Chikambo Obioma stole hearts worldwide.

Season 4 raises the stakes with a ₦30 million grand prize, ₦7 million for the first runner-up, and ₦3 million for the second runner-up. Weekly standout performers will also pocket ₦500,000, keeping the competition fierce.

Star-Studded Judges and Host

Guiding the contestants is a formidable judging panel: BB Naija star and dancer Liquorose, rap icon Vector, Nollywood actress Ini Edo, and actor/TV personality IK Ogbonna. Hosting the show is the charismatic VJ Adams, known as ‘The Captain,’ who will steer the 10-week journey with energy and flair.
