The video, which featured a stuntman escaping a burning building while carrying bags of cash, sparked backlash from fans who argued that the challenge appeared reckless and dangerous.
In response, MrBeast assured his audience that extensive safety measures were in place during production. He explained that the fire-based stunt was carefully supervised by professionals and executed under controlled conditions.
“I take safety more serious than you could ever imagine,” Donaldson said while addressing the criticism. “We had ventilation for the smoke and a kill switch to cut off the fires. We had professionals test this extensively, and the guy in the video—as stated—is a professional stuntman.”
He went on to praise the stunt coordinator and emphasized that none of the emergency systems were ultimately needed during filming. “Our stunt coordinator did an amazing job as always,” he added, noting that he wanted to be transparent after noticing concerns among his viewers.
The video has already attracted significant attention online, continuing MrBeast’s trend of large-scale, high-production content that blends entertainment with extreme challenges.
