Ronaldo Jr, affectionately known as Cristianinho, has rapidly progressed through Portugal’s youth system, having previously featured for the U-15 team in May. His development has reignited speculation about his potential to one day share the pitch with his father, although such a scenario remains unlikely as Cristiano Ronaldo Sr will turn 41 in February.
Following closely in his father’s footsteps, Ronaldo Jr dons the iconic No. 7 jersey and plays as a left winger. He has trained in the youth academies of Juventus and Manchester United, two of his father’s former clubs, and continues to attract attention from scouts across Europe.
Earlier this year, he helped the Portugal U-15 team secure a 4–1 victory over Japan, with his grandmother Dolores Aveiro in attendance and scouts from top clubs observing his performance.
Cristiano Ronaldo Sr celebrated his son’s latest achievement on Instagram, writing:
“Congratulations on your debut for Portugal, son. Very proud of you.”
While the spotlight remains on Ronaldo Sr, who recently became the all-time leading scorer in World Cup qualifying history with 949 goals, Cristiano Jr is carving out his own path in international football, hinting at a promising future ahead.
