In a bold move to redefine Africa’s travel and tourism landscape, Heirs Insurance Group (HIG), Nigeria’s fastest-growing insurance group, has announced the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, slated for November 29, 2025, in Lagos.

The one-day event — the first of its kind in the region — seeks to promote an inclusive travel ecosystem for Africans, uniting stakeholders across the tourism value chain for an immersive celebration of global cross-border culture, connection, and discovery.

With the theme, “Promoting Cultural Diversity and an Inclusive Travel Ecosystem,” the festival will convene embassy representatives, tourism boards, travel content creators, policy experts, and travel enthusiasts for a day of high-level dialogues, fireside chats, and networking experiences designed to foster collaboration and sustainable tourism growth.

Attendees can expect a vibrant lineup featuring cultural showcases, panel discussions, live performances, travel exhibitions, and a curated marketplace offering food, fashion, art, and lifestyle experiences from across the world.

Speaking on the vision behind the festival, Ifesinachi Okpagu, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, highlighted the event’s role in connecting people, ideas, and opportunities while emphasizing the importance of insurance as an enabler of safe and accessible travel.

“Travel is about discovery, exposure, and connection,” Okpagu said. “The world is more connected than ever, yet border restrictions continue to limit exploration. Heirs Insurance Group is creating a platform to address these challenges — because insurance plays a key role in unlocking opportunities safely. Through the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, we are championing a physically borderless world and sparking conversations around responsible, inclusive travel for all.”

Registration for the festival is now open, with free passes available via the company’s official website. Businesses and tourism brands interested in exhibition opportunities can also register at https://heirsinsurancegroup.com/travel_festival/.

A subsidiary of Heirs Holdings, the pan-African investment company with presence in 24 countries across four continents, Heirs Insurance Group comprises Heirs General Insurance Limited, Heirs Life Assurance Limited, and Heirs Insurance Brokers. The Group is recognized for its digital-first approach, financial inclusion agenda, and expanding retail footprint aimed at making insurance accessible to every Nigerian.

Through the Travel Festival, Heirs Insurance Group reinforces its commitment to connecting cultures, protecting travellers, and empowering Africa’s tourism ecosystem — bringing the world closer, one journey at a time.
