Fresh off her victory in Big Brother Naija Season 10, winner Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has expressed her desire to collaborate with acclaimed filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele, describing her as one of her biggest inspirations in Nollywood.

The 23-year-old reality star revealed her ambition while addressing journalists at the prize presentation ceremony held in Lagos on Tuesday, where she received her ₦150 million cash prize and a brand-new SUV.

Imisi, who became a fan favourite on the show for her expressive personality and acting flair, said her time in the Big Brother house reignited her passion for film and storytelling.

“I think people saw a lot of my acting side while I was in the house. Even my fellow housemates said I’m a natural actress. I’m ready to do more,” she said. “Funke Akindele is my number one mentor. I really hope to work with her one day. I also admire Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola—they inspire me a lot.”

Reflecting on her victory, Imisi described the moment as “overwhelming,” admitting she is still adjusting to the wave of love and support from fans across the country.

“I’m still processing everything,” she said. “The love has been massive. I didn’t expect it to be this deep.”

When asked about claims that ethnic support may have influenced her win, Imisi responded candidly.

“Maybe. Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so that might’ve played a role,” she admitted. “But honestly, I believe people connected with my realness and vulnerability.”

The Ogun State native also expressed gratitude to her Celestial Church community for their prayers and encouragement during her BBNaija journey. She added that she intends to use her platform to build a lasting career in entertainment.

“Fame is new to me, but I’m ready to learn and grow. I’ll seek mentorship and be intentional about my next steps,” she concluded.

Imisi’s emergence as BBNaija Season 10 champion caps an eventful season marked by vibrant personalities and intense fan engagement, setting the stage for what could be a promising Nollywood career for the young star.
