His latest project, Debí Tirar Más Fotos (DtMF), earned him a coveted Album of the Year nomination, marking the second time in his career he’s achieved that feat. His 2022 release, Un Verano Sin Ti, was the first Spanish-language album ever nominated for Album of the Year, setting the stage for this year’s breakthrough moment.
In the 2026 lineup, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos competes against Justin Bieber’s Swag, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, Lady Gaga’s Mayhem, Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, Leon Thomas’ Mutt, and Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia.
The album’s title track, “DtMF,” also earned nominations for both Record and Song of the Year, making Bad Bunny only the second Spanish-language artist to receive nods in those categories simultaneously — following Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” in 2018.
Beyond the major categories, Bad Bunny’s dominance extended into several additional fields. He picked up nominations for Best Música Urbana Album, Best Global Performance for “EoO,” and the new category of Best Album Cover.
Although a three-time Grammy winner, all of Bad Bunny’s previous victories came from genre-specific categories, including Best Latin Pop or Urban Album in 2021 for YHLQMDLG and consecutive Best Música Urbana Album wins in 2022 and 2023 for El Último Tour del Mundo and Un Verano Sin Ti.
With this latest sweep, Bad Bunny continues to redefine the global boundaries of Latin music — and his historic showing at the 2026 Grammys cements his position as one of the most influential artists of his generation.
