A key moment of the evening was the unveiling of the Top 35 Under 35 Marketing and Communications Professionals, a special category honouring young achievers who have made significant contributions across sectors including FMCG, finance, technology, media, hospitality, energy, and telecommunications. These professionals were recognised for their creativity, strategic thinking, and measurable impact on brand growth and business success.

Others included Mobola Akintola of GTBank, Oluwaseyi Afolayan of UAC Foods, and Bright Mgbemele of GB Foods, reflecting the breadth of talent emerging in the industry.
The roll call also celebrated marketing leaders such as Yewande Ade-Alao of Seven-Up Bottling Company, Moninnuola Kassim of Peak (FrieslandCampina WAMCO), Adeleye Adeyemo of Integrated Indigo Limited, and Tolulope Akin Aribisala of LSF PR. The list extended to Olamide Olopade of Colgate Palmolive Tolaram, Damilare Akinpelu of Ogilvy Africa, and Jennifer Awoh of South African Tourism, underscoring the diverse and impactful contributions of young professionals in Nigeria’s marketing sector.
Speaking at the event, Brandcom Awards Convener Joshua Ajayi described the Top 35 Under 35 recognition as a celebration of emerging leaders shaping the future of the industry. He noted that many past honourees have gone on to occupy significant leadership positions both locally and internationally. Ajayi also emphasised the importance of professional growth, explaining that recognition requires registration with at least one relevant professional body in Nigeria.“This category captures the essence of Brandcom Awards: to inspire growth, reward excellence, and spotlight emerging leaders,” Ajayi said.
In addition to the Top 35 Under 35, the event recognised several corporate organisations and individuals for outstanding performance, innovation, and impact in their respective fields.
As the night drew to a close, the applause at the Landmark Event Centre reflected not just the achievements of individual awardees, but the collective promise of a new generation of marketing and communications professionals poised to shape the future of the industry in Nigeria.
