American actor, musician, and rapper Donald Glover, known professionally as Childish Gambino, has shared that he experienced a stroke while performing on stage in 2024, prompting him to cancel parts of his world tour. Speaking during a performance in Los Angeles, Glover recounted the incident and reflected on the fragility of life.

He described experiencing severe head pain while performing in Louisiana but continued the show despite his condition. It was only after reaching Houston that he sought medical attention and was informed by doctors that he had suffered a stroke. “They say everybody has two lives and the second life starts when you realise you have one. You got one life, guys, and I gotta be honest, the life I’ve lived with you guys has been such a blessing,” he shared.

Glover emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, noting that he postponed his tour to focus on recovery. He also shared a personal reflection inspired by his wife, saying, “As my wife says, which I love, ‘If this life is the flavour, as soon as I’m done, give me another scoop.’”

The revelation highlights the often unseen health challenges faced by performers on demanding tours, and serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care even amid professional commitments.
