A mild drama unfolded on social media after a video surfaced showing award-winning Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele sternly reprimanding her godson and skit maker, Kamo, for what she described as an act of disrespect.

In the trending clip, Akindele appeared visibly upset as she confronted Kamo over what she called a “very stupid joke,” warning him not to interfere with her work and demanding that he leave her presence.

“Don’t interfere with my job, I’m not joking with you. Please go away,” she said in the video. “He is a very rude boy; he cracked one very stupid joke today and I don’t want to talk to him again. So, if you don’t see him on my Instablog videos, just know that I have sent him away. Very annoying brat.”

Kamo’s voice could be heard in the background repeatedly apologizing, saying, “Sorry ma, I’m sorry mummy,” but the actress, clearly still angered, rebuffed his apology.

“Who’s your mummy? We are not from the same state. Stupid boy,” she fired back.

Funke Akindele, who is publicly known as Kamo’s godmother and mentor, has often featured the young skit maker in her comedy skits and short videos. However, her outburst in the viral footage has stirred online conversations, with fans divided over whether the exchange was genuine anger or a staged scene for content.

While some social media users sympathized with Akindele, supporting her stance on discipline and professionalism, others called for reconciliation between the actress and her protégé, urging both to settle their differences privately.
