According to the organisers, ACM 2025 offered a holistic exploration of Africa’s creative sectors, with simultaneous sessions across four stages covering film, fashion, digital art, music, technology, intellectual property, and policy. This year’s gathering positioned the platform as a key driver for collaboration, capacity development and long-term ecosystem growth.
A major highlight of the event was the Women in Film and TV Conference, which convened trailblazers from Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, Zambia, the United States and the United Kingdom. The session featured notable voices such as Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka; former First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi; veteran actress and producer, Joke Silva; British Council Country Director Donna McGowan; and U.S. Consul General Rick Swart. Speakers underscored the need for stronger investment in the visibility and development of women’s narratives across screen industries.
