Moves to expand fuel distribution and ease operational pressure on petrol station operators have been announced by the Dangote Group, following a fresh supply arrangement that includes credit support and logistics incentives.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, the conglomerate disclosed that it is offering petrol station owners and dealers across Nigeria a 10-day credit facility, backed by a bank guarantee, as part of efforts to improve access to fuel supply. The arrangement, which requires a minimum order of 5,000 litres, is open to all registered petrol station operators.
The group also revealed that participating dealers will benefit from free direct delivery, a service it said will commence soon. According to the statement, the initiative is designed to reduce distribution costs and improve efficiency for operators.
“Our free direct delivery service will commence soon,” the company said, urging petrol station owners and dealers nationwide to register their outlets to take advantage of the offer and access its competitive pricing.
Under the new arrangement, petrol supplied by the Dangote Group will be sold at a gantry price of ₦699 per litre. The company provided contact lines — 0802-347-0470, 0809-324-7070, 0809-324-7071 and 0203 — for enquiries and registration.
The announcement comes shortly after a downward review of petrol prices by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. The refinery recently reduced its ex-depot price from ₦828 to ₦699 per litre, representing a ₦129 cut, or about 15.58 per cent.
An official of the refinery, who confirmed the adjustment, said the new gantry price took effect on December 11, 2025. The reduction is reported to be the 20th petrol price adjustment announced by the refinery within the year, underscoring ongoing shifts in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market.
