Speaking at the Imo State Economic Summit on Thursday, Dangote likened Nigeria to a scratch card, noting that those who have “scratched” it are beginning to see tangible benefits.
“There are very good and bold policies that the government has taken today—the exchange rate, removal of fuel subsidy, and so many other initiatives,” Dangote said. “But you know that Nigeria is like a scratch card; you only see the good of it when you scratch the card. Some of us who have scratched the card are seeing the results.”
Dangote also commended President Bola Tinubu for his leadership and policy measures, expressing optimism about further reforms.
“One advice that I have is that most of our own entrepreneurs should please invest at home,” he added, emphasizing the importance of domestic investment in driving economic growth.
