As preparations heat up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, FC Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi has become the latest addition to the Super Eagles’ camp in Cairo, Egypt. His arrival brings the number of players currently in camp to 11, with more reinforcements expected shortly.

The Super Eagles’ media officer confirmed that an additional 12 players are scheduled to report to the camp later today, Monday, December 15, signaling that head coach [Insert Coach’s Name if known] is steadily finalizing the squad ahead of the continental tournament.

Sanusi, a familiar figure in Nigerian football, was part of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire. He also played a role in Nigeria’s campaign during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoffs, which ended in heartbreak after a loss to DR Congo in the final.

The team is set to hold its first training session at 8:00 pm local time at the main bowl of the Cairo International Stadium, providing fans a first glimpse of the squad in action ahead of the tournament.
