Popular Nigerian comedian and reality star DeeOne has called on the federal government to investigate the financial management of all Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in the country.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, DeeOne highlighted what he described as unlawful activities linked to some NGOs, raising concerns that certain organizations are allegedly being exploited to fund terrorism, kidnapping, human trafficking, and other criminal enterprises.

“Federal Government of Nigeria, please investigate all the NGOs’ accounts in the country. A lot of them are being used to sponsor terrorism, kidnappers, child trafficking, and human harvesting,” he said.

DeeOne expressed concern over the rapid commercialization of charitable work, warning against NGOs that prioritize profit over public welfare. “Please do a thorough investigation on all these NGO accounts. In Nigeria today, if somebody rescues someone, the next thing, they open an NGO, and soon, they become multi-millionaires. We’re not saying you shouldn’t make money, but it has to be legit—not at the expense of people’s lives,” he added.

His comments come amid growing public scrutiny of NGOs and their financial transparency in Nigeria. Many citizens have called for stricter oversight to ensure charitable organizations operate ethically and are not exploited for criminal purposes.
