The upgraded Al-Sabahiya branch is the first in Kuwait’s southern regions to be renovated under the second phase of Gulf Bank’s branch development plan. The phase will see multiple branches across the country refurbished, including Al-Ghazali, Al-Zahraa, Abdullah Al-Salem Suburb, Al-Shaab, Al-Jabriya, Al-Nuzha, Hawalli, Al-Adailiya and Al-Fanar. The bank also plans to open a new branch in the Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential Area.
The initiative supports Gulf Bank’s five-year strategy and aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035, which emphasises building a sustainable economy and reducing carbon emissions.
The renovated Al-Sabahiya branch features a modern design and incorporates advanced banking technologies designed to deliver faster and more efficient services. Sustainability is embedded throughout the redesign through green building standards, including reduced electricity consumption via solar panels, increased use of natural lighting, and smart sensors to optimise energy use. Select branches will also include electric vehicle charging stations and expanded green spaces within and around the premises.
The renovation programme goes beyond physical upgrades, reflecting Gulf Bank’s broader strategy to enhance customer experience across all touchpoints. This includes ongoing improvements to digital banking platforms, ATM services, customer service centres, and interactive voice response systems, ensuring customers can access seamless and convenient banking services both in-branch and remotely.
Through its branch modernisation efforts and digital innovation, Gulf Bank aims to provide customers with greater flexibility in how and where they manage their banking needs. The initiative also reinforces the bank’s commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, supporting national development priorities and contributing to sustainable community development in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.
