Renowned gospel singer Osinachi Egbu, popularly known as Sinach, and her husband, Joseph Egbu, have praised Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, for what they described as intentional and visionary leadership that is driving visible transformation across the state.
The couple spoke after paying a courtesy visit to the governor at his country home in Umuehim Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area. According to Sinach, the visit was to express appreciation for the governor’s support for a medical outreach organised by the Joseph and Sinach Egbu Foundation, recently held in Aba.
She said the Otti administration has demonstrated people-focused governance, guided by a clear vision and deliberate policies aimed at improving the welfare of Abia residents. Sinach and her husband, both indigenes of the state, noted that the impact of the administration was evident in key areas including infrastructure development, environmental sanitation and citizen engagement.
The gospel music star described Otti as an “intentional governor,” adding that the changes under his leadership are visible and commendable.
She further noted that the governor’s backing of the foundation’s medical mission played a critical role in delivering essential healthcare services to residents, including life-saving interventions.
Highlighting areas of progress, Sinach pointed to improved road networks, a cleaner and more organised environment, the introduction of electric buses and increased public participation in governance as indicators of the administration’s achievements.
She also encouraged upcoming gospel artistes to remain steadfast in spreading the message of Jesus Christ, stressing that the gospel represents good news that must be preached consistently. The singer hinted at plans for a major gospel concert in Abia State, urging fans to anticipate the event.
Speaking separately, Joseph Egbu said the foundation’s recent medical outreach at the School of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Aba, was highly successful. He disclosed that over 20 major surgeries were performed, while thousands of residents benefited from various medical services.
Commenting on governance in the state, Joseph described the difference under Otti’s leadership as “incomparable,” noting that the administration had redefined governance in Abia State.
He also dismissed online rumours about challenges in their marriage, describing them as false, and reaffirmed his commitment to Sinach as his wife and life partner.
