Antalya is set to host one of international golf’s marquee events once again after Turkish Airlines confirmed a new three-year agreement as title sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open, securing the tournament’s place on the global calendar through 2026.

The 2026 edition of the tournament will be played from April 30 to May 3 at the National Golf Club, part of Regnum Hotels, a venue widely regarded as a cornerstone of Türkiye’s golf tourism. With a total prize fund of $2.75 million, the event will serve as the fifth and final leg of the Asian Swing and mark the opening phase of the DP World Tour’s 2026 season.

The Turkish Airlines Open has long been a flagship event linking professional golf with Türkiye’s growing reputation as a premium sports tourism destination. The return of the tournament to Antalya is expected to draw elite players, international media attention, and thousands of visiting fans. Defending champion Martin Couvra of France is scheduled to return to defend his title, adding further competitive intrigue to the field.

Speaking on the renewed partnership, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said the sponsorship reflects the airline’s broader commitment to global sport and national promotion. He noted that the tournament not only demonstrates the unifying power of sport but also supports Türkiye’s ambition to be recognized as a global hub for major sporting and tourism events. Ekşi added that the airline is pleased to welcome players and visitors from around the world back to Antalya in 2026.

The Turkish Golf Federation (TGF) also emphasized the strategic importance of the event. TGF President Yıldırım Demirören said the tournament’s continued presence on the DP World Tour calendar strengthens Türkiye’s standing on the international golf stage. He highlighted the role of the Turkish Airlines Open in supporting athlete development, providing ranking opportunities for local players and officials, and showcasing the country’s world-class golf infrastructure. Demirören also thanked Turkish Airlines, the National Golf Club, government ministries, and sponsors for their ongoing support.

From the DP World Tour’s perspective, the extension of Turkish Airlines’ title partnership was welcomed as a significant boost to the Race to Dubai schedule. Mark Casey, Director of Tournament Business, said the National Golf Club will offer players a demanding and high-quality test, while praising the Turkish Golf Federation’s continued efforts to grow the sport nationally. He added that the tournament has played a key role in the development of professional golf in Türkiye.

National Golf Club General Manager Hasan Ceylan described hosting the Turkish Airlines Open in 2026 as a milestone for the venue. Designed by former Ryder Cup player David Feherty alongside David Jones, the course has been central to Antalya’s rise as a golf destination since the mid-1990s. Ceylan said the club’s entire team is focused on delivering a world-class event that meets the highest international standards and further reinforces Antalya’s reputation in global golf.

Turkish Airlines first became title sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open in 2013, during which time the tournament has welcomed many of the sport’s biggest names, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, and Tyrrell Hatton. Beyond the professional circuit, the airline continues to invest in grassroots and amateur golf through the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, now recognized as the world’s largest amateur golf tournament, held this year across 122 destinations in 83 countries.

With its renewed sponsorship and a high-profile return to the DP World Tour calendar, the Turkish Airlines Open is set to once again position Antalya—and Türkiye—at the center of the international golfing spotlight in 2026.
