Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape is set to take centre stage as the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) convenes a high-level industry webinar to examine the implications of recent fiscal reforms on the integrated marketing communications sector.

The virtual session, themed “The New Tax Regime: Implications for the Integrated Marketing Communications Industry,” is scheduled to hold on March 10, 2026. Running from 12:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. (WAT) via Zoom, the programme is designed to equip advertising, media and marketing professionals with the knowledge required to navigate Nigeria’s changing tax environment.

As regulatory and fiscal policies continue to evolve, stakeholders within the marketing communications ecosystem are increasingly seeking clarity on compliance obligations, cost structures and operational adjustments. ARCON said the webinar will provide practical insights into how agencies, media buying firms, and brand custodians can align their business models with the new tax framework while maintaining competitiveness.

The Director-General of ARCON, Olalekan Fadolapo, is expected to preside over the session, reinforcing the council’s commitment to fostering regulatory awareness and industry preparedness. Delivering the keynote address will be Femi Olarinde, Head of the Fiscal and Tax Reforms Implementation Division at the National Revenue Services, who will provide an overview of the policy objectives behind the reforms and their anticipated economic impact.

The webinar will also feature a panel of respected industry leaders, including Tunji Adeyinka of The Republican Group; Jehoshaphat Akinadewo from Omnicom Media Group WeCA; and Obinna Aniche, Group President of Red Slate Group Ltd. Their contributions are expected to offer practical perspectives on how organisations can manage compliance costs, restructure contractual arrangements, and strengthen financial planning in light of the new regime.

Beyond regulatory briefings, the interactive session aims to stimulate constructive dialogue between policymakers and practitioners. Participants will have the opportunity to interrogate grey areas, explore compliance strategies, and assess the broader financial and operational implications of the tax reforms on campaign execution, agency remuneration models and cross-border transactions.

By convening regulators, tax experts and industry executives on a single platform, ARCON hopes to bridge knowledge gaps and ensure that Nigeria’s marketing communications industry remains resilient and responsive amid shifting fiscal realities.
