HP Inc. announced on Tuesday that Bruce Broussard has been appointed as the company’s interim chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Broussard takes over from Enrique Lores, who has stepped down from his role as President and CEO and resigned from the company’s board. HP said Lores left to pursue another professional opportunity.

The leadership change comes as HP moves to transition its executive management and maintain continuity in its operations. The company did not provide further details on the timing or nature of Lores’ next role.
