The wedding activities culminated on Saturday, January 31, with a stunning ceremony at Marcellina’s Event Centre, GRA, Ikeja. This grand finale followed an Arabian-themed Nikkai ceremony held at the same venue on Thursday, January 29, as well as a colourful traditional engagement that paid homage to Yoruba customs and values.
The union marked the celebration of a love story that spans more than a decade. Nurudeen and Adebimpe’s journey began during their student days at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and matured over the years, including a period spent together in the United Kingdom. Determined to honour the depth of their bond, Dr. Omilana ensured the wedding was not just memorable, but truly exceptional.
As Executive Vice Chairman of FitPlus Health Care Limited, Dr. Omilana brought the same strategic vision and attention to detail to the wedding planning. Serving as the driving force behind the Strategic Plan of Action Committee (SPAC), he infused the event with cultural depth, proudly reflecting his Ibarapa roots in Oyo State. A standout moment was the captivating performance by the Ibarapa-Tapa cultural ensemble, which added colour and heritage to the celebration.
The atmosphere throughout the festivities was lively and warm, enhanced by the presence of friends, associates, and prominent personalities from diverse sectors. Guests were treated to a thrilling musical performance by renowned Fuji icon, Dr. Adewale Ayuba, whose electrifying delivery kept the audience entertained. A rich selection of gourmet cuisine, premium wines, fine cognac, and vintage beverages further elevated the experience, encouraging bonding and celebration.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Oyekanmi Titiloye, the Elempe of Tapaland; Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh; Hon. Seyi Jakande, Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA; Hon. Lateef Adebare, Chairman of Ibarapa North LCDA; and Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). Also playing a key role was Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, who chaired the wedding reception.
The grand celebration not only highlighted the Omilana family’s prominence but also reflected Dr. Ahmed Omilana and his wife, Funmi’s deep commitment to family, culture, and excellence—making the wedding of Nurudeen and Adebimpe a truly unforgettable occasion.
