Nigerian Afrobeats star Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has playfully announced a new title for himself, telling fans to address him as “Sir Eazi” after showing off his grey hair in a recent video.

In the clip, the singer and entrepreneur highlighted strands of grey hair on his head and jokingly instructed his followers to add “Sir” to his name.

“From now on, you guys have to add ‘sir’ to my name. Because I am not anybody’s mate. So when you see me now, say ‘Sir Eazi,’” he said.

The video follows days of speculation after fans noticed the grey hair in his recent appearances. While some suggested stress as the cause, others humorously linked it to married life.

Mr Eazi married actress and fashion entrepreneur Temi Otedola in 2025, in what has become one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions. Their wedding celebrations included a traditional ceremony in Dubai and a white wedding in Iceland.

Temi, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has carved her own path in fashion and film, making her acting debut in Kunle Afolayan’s Citation and continuing to grow her presence in the creative industry.

Beyond his marriage, Mr Eazi remains a major figure in the African music scene. He gained fame with his signature blend of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian Afrobeats, often referred to as “Banku music.” Hits like Skin Tight and Leg Over helped him build a strong following across Africa and beyond.

He is also the founder of emPawa Africa, a talent incubation and funding platform supporting emerging African artists through grants, mentorship, and global exposure.

Through his music, entrepreneurial ventures, and international collaborations, Mr Eazi continues to play a key role in the global rise of Afrobeats.
