MTN Foundation’s 2025 Impact Snapshot Reveals N32.3bn Investment in Health, Education and Entrepreneurship
In 2025, the MTN Foundation’s reported N32.3 billion commitment to community development translated into tangible outcomes across Nigeria’s most underserved areas—rather than just a figure on a balance sheet. The Foundation’s latest 2025 Impact Snapshot reveals how that investment impacted lives through healthcare, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, and agricultural support.
The numbers tell a clearer story: 12,426 safe deliveries were facilitated at rural clinics, and 71 female entrepreneurs received equipment that enables them to expand their businesses—underscoring a focus on measurable, community-level impact.
Healthcare Support Reaches Over 448,000 Clinic Visits
Moving beyond advocacy, the Foundation intensified direct support by donating N139 million worth of medications to 49 Primary Healthcare Centres. These contributions helped facilitate more than 448,000 clinic attendances, ensuring mothers, children, and elderly Nigerians could access essential healthcare services within their communities.
Executive Director Reaffirms Commitment for 2026
Speaking on the progress, MTN Foundation Executive Director Odunayo Sanya said the organisation is prepared to take on more challenging initiatives in the coming year.
“In 2026, our boots are strapped, and we make a pledge to do hard and difficult things in order to move our communities forward. Our vision of a Nigeria where no community is left behind is our driving force,” she said.
Entrepreneurship Gets a Major Boost
The Foundation’s Y’ellopreneur initiative disbursed N208 million in equipment loans to female-owned businesses during the year. Rather than offering one-off grants, the programme provides strategic investments aimed at helping entrepreneurs scale and sustain their operations.
Digital Inclusion and Education Initiatives Expand
The Foundation also continued its efforts to bridge Nigeria’s digital divide, equipping 62,284 young Nigerians with digital skills. Additionally, 1,026 scholarships have been awarded to blind undergraduates to date, enabling greater access to education for students with disabilities.
Agriculture and Rural Communities Benefit
The impact extends to the agricultural sector, where 500 farmers received real-time weather and market data through internet-enabled support, helping them make more informed decisions and improve productivity.
Looking Ahead to 2026
With these milestones, the MTN Foundation says its mission remains focused on empowering more communities and ensuring that no part of Nigeria is left behind as it pursues sustainable development.
