Nafisa, who was recently crowned World’s Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, told reporters that the award will motivate her to pursue her ambitions even more.
“I feel great. I have received awards before, but this is one of my most favourite because I wasn’t expecting this. It was a grand event seeing so many great people here. It means a lot to me,” she said.
The talented student also shared advice for other aspiring award-winning learners. “To be an award-winning student, you have to study hard to achieve your goals. For me, I plan to study International Relations abroad so that I can access more opportunities to create changes. To achieve this, I need to work harder and raise the bar,” she said.
Nafisa outshone more than 20,000 students from 69 countries to claim the top prize in the prestigious English-language competition, which evaluates proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills. She represented Nigeria through Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC) in Yobe State.
Her achievement not only brings pride to her school and state but also highlights the growing prominence of Nigerian students on global academic stages.
