The incident was disclosed by popular Nigerian musician Candy Bleakz in a video posted to her Instagram page. In the recording, she explained that Kolu had traveled to the UK under her sponsorship and that the situation unfolded as they prepared to return to Nigeria.
According to Candy Bleakz, the trouble began when Kolu was unable to locate his passport while they were attempting to board their flight. She said she urged him to remain calm and thoroughly search for the missing document. However, she claimed that the situation escalated when he allegedly failed to cooperate with immigration authorities.
“I already told Kolu that he is traveling to the UK under my name, and if he does not return to Nigeria, it could cause serious problems for me,” she said in the video. “When we tried to board the flight, Kolu couldn’t find his passport. I told him to stay calm and search everywhere. He couldn’t find it, and instead of cooperating with immigration, he started fighting. He thought he was in Nigeria.”
She added that Kolu was subsequently taken to a police station and that she had been there since morning attempting to resolve the matter. The singer expressed concern about the potential consequences of deportation, noting that it could negatively affect his passport status and future travel opportunities.
As of now, UK authorities have not publicly commented on the reported arrest. The circumstances surrounding the missing passport and the alleged altercation remain unclear.
