Frederick Leonard Files Defamation Petition Against Stanley Ontop, Promises Legal Pursuit; Ontop Says He’s Ready for Court
Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has officially filed a petition against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop, accusing him of persistent defamation over a period of more than two years.
The petition, addressed to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s legal team, Uche Okoro & Co, alleges that Stanley Ontop has repeatedly attacked Leonard’s reputation without provocation and has continuously sought to create a negative public impression about him. The document, dated January 28, 2026, claims that the allegations against Leonard were unfounded and that Ontop’s actions have been harmful to his image.
Leonard shared the petition on his Instagram page on Monday morning, signalling that he intends to pursue the matter fully. In a caption accompanying the letter, he warned Ontop that he was ready to take the legal route, emphasising that anyone making claims must back them with evidence.
“Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba a.k.a Stanley Ontop. You have been served, the law will takes its course to the full extent. You first, others will follow. If you claim or allege, you must prove with evidence. I’m coming for you,” Leonard wrote.
In response, Stanley Ontop has reacted to the petition, stating that he has not yet received any invitation from the police. He also indicated that he is prepared to take the matter to court, promising legal action against Leonard.
“See y’all in court. I’m waiting for the police invitation. Ontop no small,” he wrote on Instagram.
The latest development has reignited attention on the longstanding conflict between the two entertainment figures, as both prepare for what appears to be a protracted legal battle.
