Popular Nigerian TikTok star Peller has revealed that actress Funke Akindele played a key role in securing his release from prison following his arrest in December 2025.
According to reports, Peller was detained after being involved in an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) later ordered his arrest and prosecution for reckless driving in connection with the incident.
During the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller and Funke Akindele exchanged pleasantries, and the TikTok influencer publicly thanked the actress for her support during his time in custody.
Peller praised Akindele for her assistance, saying, “She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who helped my life.”
The incident has once again drawn attention to the ongoing case and the role public figures can play in supporting one another during legal challenges.
