Effective four months ago, Thomas now oversees the strategic marketing direction, brand performance, and commercial delivery for key products within the fast-growing energy and hydration segments. Her elevation underscores the company’s confidence in her ability to manage complex portfolios while driving market relevance, consumer engagement, and revenue growth.
According to Brandspur Brand News, the move represents a deliberate transition from specialised digital marketing to full-spectrum marketing leadership, where business outcomes, brand equity, and long-term competitiveness take precedence. Thomas’s responsibilities now span market strategy, integrated brand planning, consumer engagement, and performance accountability across multiple product lines.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Thomas described the new position as a defining phase in her career. She highlighted that the role comes with broader commercial responsibilities and deeper leadership demands, requiring a shift from executing individual campaigns to orchestrating comprehensive brand growth across scale, margin, and consumer perception.
“Marketing is no longer just a communications support function,” she noted. “It has to function as a core growth engine. My approach has evolved from optimisation-focused digital tactics to integrated brand leadership that directly influences business outcomes. The role demands balancing discipline with ambition while aligning brand decisions with measurable impact.”
Thomas joined Seven Up Bottling Company in October 2023 as Digital Marketing Lead, transitioning from agency-side leadership into client-side brand management. Prior to that, she held senior roles at Noah’s Ark Communications Group, including Deputy Business Director at The RedWolf Company, where she played a pivotal role in scaling the digital unit into a full-service agency.
With over 15 years of experience spanning FMCG, telecommunications, technology, finance, media, NGOs, and government campaigns, Thomas has worked on major brands such as Airtel, Maltina, GOtv, Maggi, Nokia, and Three Crowns Milk. Her professional background blends brand strategy, business operations, client servicing, and digital innovation.
Academically, Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communications from Rome Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University. She is a certified professional with the Digital Marketing Institute and is widely recognised as a thought leader within Nigeria’s marketing ecosystem.
Over the years, Thomas has received multiple industry accolades, including recognition among the Top Digital Marketing Personalities in Nigeria and honours at the ADMARP Awards for her contributions to digital marketing excellence.
Her appointment positions her as a key driver of Seven Up Bottling Company’s growth ambitions in Nigeria’s competitive beverage market, particularly in the rapidly expanding energy and hydration categories.
