Manchester is set to host a landmark edition of the BRIT Awards next Saturday (February 28), marking the first time in the ceremony’s 50-year history that the event will be held outside of London. The Co-op Live arena will welcome some of the biggest names in music, with Sombr confirmed as the latest performer to join an already star-studded line-up.

Sombr, who is nominated for International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for his single “Undressed,” shared his excitement about the appearance. “I’m so honoured to be performing at the iconic BRIT Awards,” he said. “I am so thankful to everyone who has supported me this past year. I love the UK and all the British people—it’s my second home!”

The New York singer-songwriter has enjoyed a strong start to 2026. He is also nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys and previously won Best Alternative at the MTV Video Music Awards. His debut album, I Barely Know Her, released in August, received critical acclaim, including a four-star review from NME, which called it “an album driven by heartache” and “a gloriously dynamic record that’s less about misery and more about catharsis. It’s sad boy indie with a smirk.”

Sombr joins an impressive line-up of performers for the BRITs, including Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, HUNTR/X’s EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson, Alex Warren, and Rosalía. The show will be hosted by Jack Whitehall for the sixth time, with this year’s trophy designed by Matthew Williamson and inspired by Manchester.

In addition to Sombr’s appearance, several artists have already been recognised for their achievements. Jacob Alon has been named the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. Leading the nomination tally this year are Olivia Dean, former NME cover star Lola Young, Sam Fender, Lily Allen, and rapper Jim Legxacy. Mark Ronson will be honoured for Outstanding Contribution to Music, while Noel Gallagher receives the Songwriter of the Year award.

The BRIT Awards performances will be broadcast on ITV1 across the UK, with select performances streamed worldwide on YouTube. Sombr’s UK and European tour is already underway, with stops in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and other major cities.
