Veteran Nollywood comic actor Wale Akorede, popularly known as Okunnu, has hit back at Olasco Films following accusations that he is ungrateful, BrandIconImage reports.

The controversy stems from a long-standing dispute between the actor and the movie marketing company, which Akorede claims owes him payment for a film he produced and directed over 16 years ago. According to the actor, he never received his rightful share of the profits from the project.

In an interview with Tunde Ola-Yusuf, Olasco Films labeled Akorede an ingrate, stating that they had given him N2 million to produce the movie.

Reacting to the comments, Akorede took to the Instagram page of the interviewer, asserting that he has no intention of letting the matter rest. “I’m still coming for you in a BIG way. My silence for 16 years is coming soon,” he wrote, signaling an end to more than a decade and a half of quiet.

The exchange has reignited discussions about financial disputes and accountability within Nollywood, highlighting the challenges some actors face in securing their earnings from production deals.
