...Denies Abandonment Claims

Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has addressed criticisms over not sharing photos of his children with estranged wife May Edochie, clarifying that he remains actively involved in their lives.

Speaking on the KAA Truth podcast with Kel Armstrong Amobi, Yul revealed that he recently sent money to his second son through the mother’s bank account, maintaining regular contact despite online claims that he has abandoned his children.

“I’ve heard a lot of things about people saying I abandoned my children. Sometimes I read those things and I laughed. If my children never come to you and complain, it’s funny because I’m in contact with my children,” he said.

He recounted how he communicated with his second son, who recently matriculated at university. “My second son just got into university some months ago, he just did his matriculation a few days back, and we’re communicating. In fact, he told me about it a day before the time… I said send me pictures when you guys are done. He sent me the picture. This is the same son they’re saying I’m not in contact with,” Yul added.

The actor explained that legal constraints linked to the ongoing divorce case with May Edochie prevent him from posting images of his children publicly. “There’s also a court order saying that anything that has to do with my children, I shouldn’t post for their own safety. My second son is 17, while the other one is about 8 years. They said no more posting of them. So it’s not like I don’t love them. They are my blood,” he stated.

Yul’s comments come in response to growing social media chatter questioning his involvement with his children. He emphasized that despite the public perception, he continues to support them financially and emotionally, keeping their well-being a priority.

If you want, I can also rewrite this into a punchier, tabloid-style headline and lead that would draw more social media clicks while keeping the context intact. Do you want me to do that?
