Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has unveiled plans for his first-ever curated music festival, “Davido & Friends,” scheduled to take place at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14, 2026.

The announcement, made via social media on Monday, marks a new milestone for the award-winning artist, who is also widely known as OBO. The festival will see Davido headline a full-day event while also curating a lineup of guest performers—his “friends”—who are yet to be revealed.

The show is part of the broader “Palace Bowl Presents” series, a summer-long run of live music events hosted at the South London venue between late July and mid-August. Davido’s date is expected to be one of the standout events in the lineup, reflecting the continued global rise of Afrobeats.

The festival reveal follows the success of Davido’s 2025 tour promoting his fifth studio album, 5IVE. The tour saw the singer perform across multiple cities in Nigeria—including Uyo, Yola, Enugu, Ibadan, and Lagos—before extending to audiences in Europe.

With “Davido & Friends,” the artist is expanding his footprint beyond traditional concerts into festival curation, a move increasingly embraced by global music stars seeking to shape live music experiences and spotlight emerging talent alongside established acts.
