Afrobeat superstar Davido has reacted with outrage to a viral video showing a violent bullying incident at Igbinedion Secondary School, calling the behavior “disgusting” on social media.

The footage, which circulated widely on X on Sunday, shows two male students repeatedly assaulting a fellow student who had fallen to the ground. At one point, one of the aggressors drags the victim by his uniform and stomps on his chest and head, while the boy cries out in pain. A third student, who is recording the attack, can be heard pleading with the bullies to stop.

Reacting to the video, Davido wrote:

“Fuckin animals… so disgusting.”

The violent clip quickly prompted widespread outrage online, leading to immediate intervention by the school authorities. Igbinedion Secondary School expelled the students responsible for the attack and suspended the student who recorded the incident.

The Edo State Police Command also confirmed the disciplinary actions. Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem stated that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has instructed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to conduct a full investigation into the incident.

“The Edo State Police Command strongly condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law,” the statement added.

The incident has reignited discussions on social media about school bullying and the responsibilities of authorities to protect students from violence, with many commending both the singer for speaking out and the swift action taken by the school and police.
