Sunlight’s Raise The Bar: NextGen campaign continues to build momentum on the ground, with a vibrant school activation hosted this past week at Newlands East Secondary School in Durban.
As part of the nationwide schools competition, the activation transformed the school environment into a live platform for creativity, self-expression, and performance. Learners didn’t just watch - they participated, entering the Raise The Bar: NextGen competition directly on-site and turning the school into a real-time stage for music, dance, and cultural expression.
A key highlight of the day was an electrifying performance by Tyson, Sunlight ambassador, whose presence and performance brought energy to the school and encouraged learners to step forward and showcase their own talent. His involvement reflects the campaign’s broader focus on confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Raise The Bar: NextGen is a nationwide initiative inviting learners across South Africa to showcase their creativity through music, dance, and performance, with one winning school per province set to receive R135,000 to invest back into their school community.
Interview Opportunity:Tyson is available for interviews to speak about his journey, his role as a Sunlight ambassador, and why he believes school spaces are important environments for creativity, performance, and self-expression.
