Guinness World Records has officially confirmed that Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience set a new milestone as the largest orchestra performing Afrobeats, featuring 85 musicians on a single stage.

The record-breaking concert took place on 16 December 2025 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Lagos, bringing together leading artists including Saheed Osupa, KS 1 Malaika, Rybeena, T.I Blaze, and 81 other musicians. The performance included a full orchestra led by a conductor, a lead singer, a choir, dancers, and synchronised orchestral arrangements.

In a statement shared on Instagram, the organisers celebrated the achievement:

“Glad to announce that Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience has been officially reviewed, verified, and confirmed by Guinness World Records for the Largest Orchestra for an Afrobeats Concert. With unforgettable performances from T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee, Dwillsharmony, and Fuji legends KS1 Malaika and King Saheed Osupa, the night became a powerful fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji, and orchestral brilliance. We didn’t just stage a concert. We rewrote the record books. Culture. Precision. History.”

According to Guinness World Records, the event was officially reviewed and verified, confirming that 85 musicians performed together under a conductor, supported by a lead singer, accompanying choir, and dancers in a coordinated orchestral presentation built around Afrobeats compositions.

The concert showcased how Afrobeats can merge with orchestral arrangements to produce large-scale musical performances, uniting musicians and audiences alike. The event also highlighted Nigeria’s contemporary music scene by blending elements of Fuji and Afrobeats, with performances from both emerging and established artistes.

The record-setting concert was organised by Dapper Live & Artists, linked to Nigerian music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper. He is also widely recognised for his association with celebrity chef and three-time Guinness World Records holder, Hilda Baci.
