Hilda Baci Celebrates Damilola Akinwunmi as Dapper Live Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Afrobeats Orchestra

Celebrity chef and three-time Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has congratulated her partner, Damilola Akinwunmi, following a major milestone achieved by his entertainment company, Dapper Group.

The group, which operates Dapper Music and Entertainment and Dvpper Digital, recently secured a new Guinness World Record for assembling the largest orchestra ever used in an Afrobeats concert.

Taking to Instagram, Baci shared an emotional message celebrating Akinwunmi and the team behind the project, praising the dedication, sacrifices and persistence that led to the achievement. She described the moment as the culmination of years of hard work, sleepless nights and unwavering belief in their creative vision.

The record-setting performance was staged in Lagos on December 16, 2025, by Dapper Live and its artists. The historic attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, where an orchestra of 85 musicians performed a specially arranged Afrobeats composition live on stage.

The concert brought together a musical director, a lead vocalist, a choir, dancers and dozens of instrumentalists performing in synchrony. The event showcased a distinctive blend of orchestral arrangements with the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats, highlighting the genre’s evolving global influence.

Sharing video clips from the performance, Baci reflected on witnessing the journey behind the achievement.

According to her, she had seen the sacrifices and reinvestments that went into building the platform and was deeply proud of Akinwunmi and the team for turning their vision—known as Trench Symphony—into a historic moment now recognised by Guinness World Records.

She also hinted at the personal significance of the milestone, playfully noting that their future children would one day hear the story of how both parents became record holders.

Baci herself gained international recognition in 2023 after completing a marathon cooking session that earned her a Guinness World Record, making the celebration particularly meaningful as she welcomed her partner into the league of global record holders.

The couple, who have been romantically linked for several years, occasionally share glimpses of their relationship online, often celebrating both their personal bond and professional accomplishments.
