The actress shared the message while marking the global celebration of International Women's Day, using the moment to reflect on her journey as a mother and a woman navigating life after divorce.
Rejecting Pressure to Hide Motherhood
In her message, Danjuma revealed that she had once been advised to avoid posting or speaking publicly about her children, as it might discourage potential romantic partners.
However, she said she rejected the suggestion, choosing instead to proudly embrace her identity as a mother of three.
“The world often makes divorced women feel like they are the problem… like they should carry the weight of it all,” she wrote. “Constantly stigmatised unnecessarily.”
Recalling the advice she received, she added: “Someone once told me, ‘Don’t post your children. The right man may run away.’ Let the little boy run. I am good.”
Celebrating Motherhood
The actress emphasised that motherhood has been one of the most defining aspects of her life. She described raising her children—aged 18, 17 and 11—as a blessing and a source of strength that has shaped her character.
“I am proudly the mother of three incredible children: 18, 17 and 11 years old respectively. I will never hide or trade this divine gift of love from God for anyone,” she said.
Danjuma also acknowledged the role of their father in raising them, expressing gratitude for his continued support in caring for the children.
“My children are deeply loved and exceptionally cared for by their father in every way, and for that I remain grateful,” she noted.
A Message of Empowerment
Reflecting on the lessons motherhood has taught her, the actress said the experience instilled values such as resilience, forgiveness, strength and grace.
“Motherhood shaped me into the woman I am today. It taught me love beyond understanding, resilience without losing myself, forgiveness, strength and grace,” she wrote.
For Danjuma, being called a mother remains one of life’s greatest honours, and she used the occasion of International Women’s Day to celebrate the role.
“Motherhood is not my limitation; it is my greatest legacy,” she said, extending her greetings to women around the world.
“Happy International Women’s Day to every woman out there. We are conquerors.”
