After years of public tension and industry speculation, Nollywood actress Motilola Akinlami has confirmed that she has settled her differences with filmmaker and producer Kunle Afod, bringing an end to their long-standing feud.

The actress made the revelation during a recent interview with actor Tony Montana, where she reflected on the emotional toll the conflict had taken on her. According to Akinlami, the disagreement stemmed from a deeply personal and professional fallout with someone she once held in high regard.

Describing the situation as painful, she admitted that it escalated beyond what she had hoped for, eventually spilling onto social media in 2024. At the time, she had accused Afod of attempting to block her career opportunities following the end of their working relationship, which she linked to issues involving his wife.

In her latest remarks, however, the actress struck a more conciliatory tone, confirming that both parties have now moved past the dispute after nearly six years of estrangement.

“I was pained,” she said, recounting how the breakdown of the relationship affected her. “It was very painful for me that it got to the point where I had to come on social media to call names.”

Akinlami credited fellow Nollywood figures for stepping in to mediate and restore peace, singling out Femi Adebayo for his role in facilitating the reconciliation. She also expressed gratitude to Bayo Tijani and other senior colleagues who helped bring both sides together.

“Femi Adebayo is a peaceful person. The issue has been resolved between myself and my boss, Kunle Afod. God has helped us resolve it,” she said.

The resolution marks a significant moment for both parties, particularly within the tight-knit Nollywood industry, where professional relationships often overlap with personal dynamics. With the feud now settled, the development opens the door for renewed collaboration and a fresh chapter in their careers.
