Scheduled for Friday, March 27, the event—tagged the Abuja Performing Arts Summit (APAS)—is designed to bring together theatre practitioners, policymakers, and creative entrepreneurs within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to examine the state and future of the performing arts sector.
With the theme, “Charting New Paths: Strengthening the Performing Arts Ecosystem in the FCT,” the summit aims to spark meaningful conversations around innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in the industry. Organisers say the platform will serve as a meeting point for key players to exchange ideas and propose actionable strategies to enhance artistic practice and institutional support in Abuja.
Beyond dialogue, the summit is expected to attract development partners and private sector stakeholders, creating opportunities to explore funding models, partnerships, and investment pathways that can drive long-term growth in the performing arts space.
As part of activities commemorating World Theatre Day, the initiative underscores NANTAP’s commitment to strengthening the creative ecosystem and positioning Abuja as a thriving hub for theatrical and performing arts excellence.
