In the circulating clip on X, Pasuma was seen attempting to get Akindele’s attention while she was engaged in a conversation with another guest. The moment sparked mixed reactions online after an influencer, Uoladiti, shared the footage with a caption implying that the actress had “snubbed” the music icon in public.
The post quickly gained traction, with some users interpreting the brief exchange as a deliberate act of disregard, while others urged caution against drawing conclusions from a short video clip.
Responding to the allegations, Akindele firmly dismissed the narrative, describing it as false and misleading. She clarified that there was no instance of disrespect, stating that she acknowledged Pasuma at the event, greeted him, and even shared a dance moment with him.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity please. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Please, you all should stop this,” she wrote in reaction to the claims.
The development comes shortly after another online controversy involving Akindele and fellow actress Toyin Abraham, where a separate viral video from a film premiere sparked public debate over perceived tension between both stars. Abraham had since reportedly expressed her decision to no longer initiate contact with Akindele following that incident.
Despite the online discussions, Akindele’s latest clarification appears aimed at quelling renewed speculation and redirecting attention away from what she describes as unfounded interpretations of social media clips.
