Nollywood actress and producer Laide Bakare has revealed that she is set to walk down the aisle for the third time, describing the upcoming union as her first “official” marriage despite having been previously married twice.

The actress made the disclosure during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where she spoke openly about her personal life and past relationships. According to her, preparations for the wedding are already in motion, although she did not reveal the date or the identity of her future husband.

“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said during the conversation, sparking widespread reactions from fans and followers.

A Look Back at Previous Marriages

Bakare has been married twice before. Her first marriage was to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. Following their separation, she later married Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, a union that produced two sons.

However, the second marriage eventually ended amid reports that Orilowo was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraudulent activities.

Openness to Multiple Marriages

The actress has previously spoken candidly about her views on marriage. In an earlier appearance on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, she stated that she is not opposed to remarrying multiple times if circumstances require it, even suggesting she could be married up to five times.

Her latest announcement has once again placed her personal life in the public spotlight, as fans await further details about the upcoming ceremony and the identity of her fiancé.
