Recognition has come for Nigerian digital health entrepreneur Onyinyechukwu Gift Ositadinma, following her growing impact in leveraging technology to improve cancer care and patient support systems.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Compass UK was honoured by Newsbreeze Magazine for her groundbreaking contributions to healthcare innovation, particularly her use of artificial intelligence to assist cancer patients, survivors, and their families.

The award was presented at a ceremony held in Asaba, where it was received on her behalf by her father, Chief Ositadinma Nwabuine, alongside other family members.

Speaking after the presentation, Nwabuine expressed pride in his daughter’s accomplishments, noting that the honour adds to a growing list of recognitions she has received. He disclosed that she had been similarly honoured just weeks earlier by the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, highlighting her rising prominence in the digital health space.

Ositadinma’s platform, Cancer Compass UK, utilises artificial intelligence to deliver personalised guidance, accessible medical information, and emotional support for individuals navigating cancer. The initiative aims to provide tailored assistance at every stage of the patient journey, addressing both clinical and psychosocial needs.

Further underscoring her influence, Ositadinma was also a featured speaker at the TechChat and Networking 2026, held on March 28 in Newcastle upon Tyne. During the event, she shared insights into the development of her AI-driven solution and emphasised her commitment to ensuring that no individual faces cancer in isolation.

The latest recognition highlights her expanding role at the intersection of artificial intelligence and patient-centred healthcare, positioning her as one of Nigeria’s emerging voices in global health innovation.
