Turkey’s long-awaited return to the global stage has sparked celebrations beyond its borders, with Victor Osimhen joining in to acknowledge the milestone achievement.

The Turkey national football team secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup following a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Kosovo national football team in Pristina. The decisive moment came in the second half, when Kerem Akturkoglu found the back of the net to seal the win.

With that result, Turkey emerged as one of four nations to advance through the European playoffs, alongside Sweden national football team, Czech Republic national football team, and Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.

The qualification marks a significant moment in Turkish football history, as it will be their first appearance at the World Cup since 2002. Drawn into Group D, Turkey is set to face Paraguay national football team, Australia national football team, and United States men's national soccer team.

Following the match, Osimhen—who plays at club level for Galatasaray S.K.—took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement. The Nigerian striker reposted an image of teammate Abdulkerim Bardakci proudly waving the Turkish flag, adding a simple caption featuring clapping hands and a heart emoji.

Though not directly involved in the qualification campaign, Osimhen’s gesture reflects the camaraderie within the Galatasaray squad and highlights the shared pride among teammates during moments of national success.
