Music career milestones
Iwobi officially launched his music career in 2024 under the moniker 17, a nod to his football jersey number across Arsenal, Everton, and Fulham. Although he has been creating music since age 14, he initially released songs during the off-season to avoid distractions during the football campaign.
His first single, “Don’t Shoot” (June 2024), aimed to discourage street violence and inspire London youth, featuring professional footballers Chuba Akpom (Skoli) and Medy Elito (Don-EE). Later that year, he released “What’s Luv?”, celebrating African heritage and modern relationships, produced by EM1X and featuring SPKS and MBrown.
In 2025, Iwobi gained significant attention with “Hop Out”, a collaboration with British rapper Ramz and Nigerian artist ODUMODUBLVCK. Supported by the British heritage brand Lyle & Scott, the track blended UK and Nigerian musical cultures in a cinematic music video.Through his brand Project 17 (P17), Iwobi emphasizes that music complements, rather than competes with, his football career, underscoring his commitment to both creative and athletic excellence.
With More To Life, Alex Iwobi is poised to solidify his presence in the music world while continuing to excel on the pitch, offering fans a unique blend of athletic and artistic talent.
