Reports suggesting a fallout between Tobi Makinde and Funke Akindele have been firmly denied by the actor, who insists that their relationship remains intact despite online speculation.

Speaking in a BBC interview, Makinde addressed circulating claims of a disagreement, describing them as products of social media exaggeration rather than reality. He explained that conversations online often evolve into fabricated storylines, with individuals later being cast into roles that do not reflect actual events.

According to him, his bond with Akindele predates the rise of social media and is not defined by online narratives or public interpretation. He stressed that the absence of visible interaction does not equate to a breakdown in their relationship.

Makinde further noted that natural personal and professional growth can sometimes create distance between people, which may be misread as conflict or separation. He maintained that such changes are normal and should not automatically be interpreted as a fallout.

“Nothing really happened between Madam Funke and me, and I’m not aware of any fallout,” he said, adding that social media “writes its own script” and often assigns roles to real-life figures without factual basis.
