United Nigeria Airlines has announced the appointment of Adedayo Olawuyi as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), a strategic move aimed at strengthening the airline’s market position and expanding its domestic and international route network.

Olawuyi brings over 18 years of extensive experience in the aviation sector, with a career spanning commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development across multiple African carriers. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines, where he played a key role in shaping the airline’s commercial strategy.

Prior to that, Olawuyi was Head of Commercial at Africa World Airlines in Ghana and held the position of Head of Business Intelligence & Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited. He began his career at Air Nigeria, gaining hands-on experience across commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.

Educationally, Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Ibadan. He has also completed professional development programmes with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other global aviation organizations.

His appointment signals United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to enhancing its commercial operations and delivering competitive, customer-focused services across the continent and beyond.
