Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has disclosed that he recently distributed ₦10.2 million to people living on the streets, describing the gesture as his version of “tithe” outside the traditional church setting.

Speaking during an interview with Broadway TV, the actor said the amount represented 10 per cent of his recent earnings, which he claimed totalled about ₦102 million from movie roles within a short period.

According to him, the cash gift was directed toward individuals in need rather than religious institutions, a decision he linked to his personal stance on organised religion and tithing practices.

He stated that he does not participate in church activities and does not subscribe to the practice of paying tithes to churches, adding that his approach to giving is personal and not tied to religious obligation.

“Not to brag, but I am the richest actor. The last time I checked my book, I realised I have made ₦102 million from artist fees lately… I donated ₦10.2 million, which is 10 per cent of the money, to the needy on the street,” he said.

The actor further reiterated that he does not attend church services and does not believe in paying tithes to churches, emphasizing instead his preference for direct charitable giving.
