Veteran Nigerian broadcaster and television personality Frank Edoho has spoken out publicly following days of intense online discussion surrounding his personal life, urging restraint as he insists the matter will be resolved through legal channels.
The former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host addressed the controversy in a detailed Instagram post shared on Wednesday, May 20, directly responding to allegations made by his estranged wife, Sandra Ochechunaya, which have circulated widely across social media platforms.
In his statement, Edoho firmly rejected the claims.
“Over the past few days, a number of grave allegations concerning my person have been circulated in the public space. I am fully aware of the concern, commentary, and attention this has generated. Let me state, clearly and unequivocally, that the allegations made against me are false,” he wrote.
He stressed that he would not engage in a public back-and-forth, saying instead that he has opted for formal legal resolution where evidence and due process would determine the outcome.
“I have chosen to address these issues through the appropriate legal channels, where facts, evidence, and due process will prevail.”
The broadcaster also expressed concern over the wider impact of the controversy, particularly on individuals and organisations with no connection to the dispute. He issued an apology to professional partners and sponsors whose names may have been affected.
“That said, I am deeply saddened that during this situation, individuals who have absolutely no connection to these issues have had their names, identities, and privacy drawn into public discourse. For that, I am sincerely sorry.”
“I also wish to extend my sincere apologies to my sponsors, brand partners, collaborators, professional associates, and everyone whose goodwill, trust, and reputation may have been affected by the unfortunate publicity surrounding these events.”
Beyond professional concerns, Edoho highlighted the emotional toll on his family, particularly his children, and called for their privacy to be respected.
“This is an especially difficult period, most of all for my children, who neither chose this moment nor deserve to bear the weight of public intrusion arising from it.”
“I respectfully ask that their privacy be protected, and that space be given for the lawful processes now underway to run their course. Above all, I am a father, deeply committed to the welfare, dignity, and protection of my children.”
The dispute gained public attention after Sandra Ochechunaya, Edoho’s estranged wife, made allegations of physical abuse, infidelity, and financial misconduct, sharing what she described as supporting evidence including images, videos, and financial documents.
The situation escalated further after Edoho previously confirmed that his second marriage had broken down, revealing that the couple had already been separated for nearly two years and were undergoing divorce proceedings.
Tensions reportedly intensified online when rumours began circulating linking Ochechunaya to Nigerian singer Chike, sparking additional speculation and a wave of counterclaims from both sides.
For now, Edoho maintains that the matter belongs in court rather than in public discourse, as he attempts to draw a line under what has become a widely followed and emotionally charged celebrity dispute involving Sandra Ochechunaya and her allegations.
